At the end of every year I always enjoy sharing the most popular recipes on Joyous Health. Not surprisingly, these were some of my favourite recipes too! Here’s the top 10 recipes from 2013:
You may have noticed by the number of burger recipes on joyous health that I love a good burger. This burger is full of satisfying fiber and it’s got tons of flavor. If you love this burger recipe be sure to also try the salmon cakes and chickpea almond burger recipes too as they are just as delicious!
Time and time again people ask me what to eat for snacks instead of chips, crackers and cookies. These types of snacks if not homemade with simple ingredients are usually full of chemicals, bad fats and don’t do anything joyous for your waistline! Plus if you are gluten-sensitive they will only promote inflammation and likely contain far too much sugar and sodium. These snack ideas I’ve listed in this post are delicious, guilt-free and joyous-approved.
This chili is wonderful on a damp, cold day because it will warm you from the inside out! It’s the perfect healthy comfort food. Rosemary is one of my favourite herbs – so fragrant and unique. These zucchini chips can be made without a food dehydrator. Forget the junk food store-bought chips and try this recipe. You’ll be joyous you did!
I made these gems for a family Christmas party and they were a hit! Tahini has such a wonderful unique flavor. The nice thing about this recipe is you could easily sub the tahini for any other nut or seed butter too.
Ma McCarthy makes an amazing apple crisp. Lucky for me I grew up eating many of her delicious creations. This recipe was of course, inspired by her!
