Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so in the spirit of love and sex I created these delicious raw cookies with three libido-boosting ingredients: maca, raw cacao and goji berries. It makes perfect sense to call them “sexy balls” then doesn’t it? Here’s the recipe for these delicious raw cookies:
Ingredients:
- 1.5 tsp raw maca powder
- 1 tbsp organic ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 1/4 cup organic dark chocolate chips
- 8-10 soft medjol dates, pits removes
- 1/2 cup raw almonds
- 1/4 cup organic goji berries1 tsp pure organic vanilla extract
Method: Place all ingredients into a high power food processor and blend until small pebbles form. Roll into balls and refrigerate. Makes approximately 15 cookie balls. They won’t last very long because they are so sweet, delicious and blissful.
In case you are curious, here’s a little info on the 3 sexy ingredients:
Maca: This plant is known as the Peruvian “ginseng” even though it’s not ginseng at all. However, it has been known to increase energy, stamina, libido and reduce stress. It is an adaptogen, meaning, it’s important to take over a longer period of time to notice the effects. But stay committed because maca is very nourishing to the pituitary and hypothalmus glands, making it a very hormonally balancing food.
It has a slightly nutty taste and there are various ways to get it into your diet: mix it with honey and spread on toast, add 1 tsp to a smoothie, mix into yogurt. Caution: Do not exceed more than 1tsp per day — a little goes a long way!
Raw Cacao: The purest form of chocolate on planet earth! This food’s effect on libido is due to it’s mood enhancing chemicals including anandamide, PEA which have been known to make you feel more “blissful” and “loving”. Additionally, this libido-booster stimulates feel good hormones such as endorphins and may increase serotonin since it’s a source of tryptophan. Raw cacao is also an excellent source of antioxidants which are beneficial for fertility in both men and women.
Goji Berries: In Asia, these mighty berries are known as a strong sexual tonic. Meaning, they increase sexual desire. This is thanks to their testosterone increasing ability. This hormone is extremely important for libido in both men and women. Eating these little berries can also increase overall well-being and stamina. They are loaded with vitamin C and skin-loving antioxidants too.
And these cookies are perfectly safe for ANYONE to eat. Eat 2 as a healthy, fibre-rich, protein containing snack or make them for a loved one as a Valentine’s Day gift!
Enjoy!

I made something like these the other day except I used pumpkins seeds instead of almonds but the goji berries are a great idea I will try them for Valentine’s day. Thanks for posting
Hey Jenn, you made them even MORE sexy then, because pumpkin seeds are a source of zinc which is important for healthy levels of testosterone — va va voom!
I was just about to ask about making these for a lover with an unfortunate nut-allergy, but you answered my question – pumpkin seeds it is! Thank you!
Hi, I’ve read somewhere that Maca shouldnt be eaten raw, but should be either cooked or gelatinized. May I know your views on this please? Thanks.
I haven’t ever heard that before. Can you please send me the link to the resource, then I can better comment. Maca is most potent in a raw form … and delicious!
I had no idea of the health benefits of goji berry! Being Chinese, I have always ate them in soup and these berries are one of my favorite! I just know that they are healthy for eyesight as well
hi,
here is the link that says maca should be gelatinized,
http://thehealingfrequency.com/superfoods-david-wolfe/
as for maca in its raw form being unsuitable, i read it off some reviews on amazon so not sure how reliable it is. if you don’t think there is a problem, then ok!
thanks!
Thanks for sharing, I shall take a read
Could you please recommend a Maca powder brand. Thank you.
Wow! These are delicious!
These sound great! I retweeted the recipe
I need to try these.
Tried these last night (sans Goji Berries), and they are amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Tried these Sexy Balls last night (san Goji Berries) and they were amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Are goji berries safe for little children to eat? My 3yo loves them.
Lovely! I learned something new while preparing delicious food that is good for me. I enjoy reading the advice and insights. I can’t eat Goji Berries – another adaptogen. I substituted freshly dried Mango chips.
I have always loved your blog but when I read what you wrote about goji berry I couldn’t help to raise questions. I lived in Asia for 28 years and am familiar with goji berry. However, I have never heard of its link to sexual desire till I read your blog. Can you share the source of this information?
I made these tonight for a girlfriend’s birthday tomorrow. They are amazing!! (I may have had a couple…) but should I leave them in the fridge over tonight for best results tomorrow?? Thanks Joy
Yes! Or at least a few hours.
